I have said many times on the campaign trail that I took my last election for granted. By the time I realized that my opponent was a serious contender it was almost too late. Consequently, I won by an overwhelming margin of 428 votes. This year I know every vote counts.

I have the opportunity to work in the halls of the U.S. Capitol and not a day goes by when I don't feel the weight of those I represent and the responsibility that comes with my position. We have been able to accomplish much together, but we still have much to do.
