Kos: "NRCC scared shitless of Schrader"
Publicly, Republicans sound confident of their chances against Ginny Schrader. But the numbers don't lie.
The National Republican Congressional Committee so far has spent $1.7 million on the race -- more than on any other House election in Pennsylvania. Its funding signals the party's concern the seat could swing to Schrader, and its intention to keep it for the GOP. By comparison, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has only been able to afford to spend about $930,000 to assist Schrader.
"Only" $930K? That's not chump change, and given the flood of money the NRCC is dumping into the race, they're not feeling to good about it.
