reporting via wireless laptop, I'm sure I'll break it at some point today, but I'll keep posting as long as the GOoPers keep hiding and I can get online
Uh- where's the GOP? I was all set to deal with GOP challengers at a number of divisions in my area... and none showed up. As a matter of fact, of the 8 divisions I visited this morning- only 2 (TWO) had their assigned partisan election workers. The only problem the GOP has caused so far in my home division (which includes large numbers of latino and asian immigrants) is that we could really use their help making coffee and holding the doors for the little ol' ladies.
I've already called in to my clearinghouse and I'll go where they tell me to go.
As for turnout- In over ten years as a comitteeperson and dem volunteer I have never seen such a turnout- voters who haven't voted in a decade or more were on line at 7 a.m. sharp. Maria, the crazy pro-life lady up the street was there- wearing a buttong with a picture of Carla Faye Tucker on it. W is bushmeat.
Best Rumor of The Day (so far)
I hear tell that some enterprising young EP atty's in Chester found a GOP challenger slowing things down- and immediately started going up and down the line soliciting voters to join a class action for abuse of process- claiming lost wages for time wasted in line. Apparently the GOoP has not provided its minions with indemnification policies.
